Aquarium planning · reviewed pilot

What can I add to my aquarium?

Screen fish, coral or clam additions against your display, care plan and residents. Assess the proposed position and specialist feeding needs. It explains risks; it does not calculate remaining stocking capacity or guarantee compatibility.

Your display aquarium

Use display volume only, excluding the sump. Dimensions are the internal swimming space.

Care and habitat

Check each statement that is true for your aquarium.

What would you like to add?

Fish screening covers 12 reviewed candidates. Coral and clam planning covers six profiles with individual lighting, circulation and placement checks.

Substrate and gas exchange

Depth describes the available habitat. A deeper bed does not automatically meet every burrowing animal’s needs.

Circulation strength and oxygenation are separate. Surface movement or a skimmer does not measure dissolved oxygen.

Specialist feeding review

Optional: assess a Mandarin Dragonet or captive-bred Lined Seahorse feeding plan. This is a focused review, not clearance to add the animal.

One bottle of copepods is not proof of a continuing food supply. Prepared-food acceptance must be observed for the actual individual.

Current residents

Add every fish species and its count, plus named invertebrates where possible. Unreviewed residents send all results for further review. Coral and clam planning also checks available clearance and night-time reach; individual interactions still need review.

No named residents entered. Leave empty only if no fish or other unlisted residents are present.
